I would like the first exercise of penmanship to be that you write out a short story or scene for this picture. What comes to mind as you first look at it? This is a good practice to help you build imagination with something that is already been enforced.
Example of what to do:
My heart thumped as I stood looking out over the town and beach spread out below me. Almost unconsciously, I grabbed my camera and snapped a picture of the beauty that surrounded me.
This is basically a short story, since the goings on was behind the camera, not in front of it. Have fun!
