Here is another post, mostly for "Justin's" benefit to go with the already written story below. Justin, this is a good picture, I thought, for the whole "dying world" theme. ;) Any others are welcome to look back at my first post and write there or write on this one with the whole short story, poem, or scene thing. Remember, a scene is describing what you think is happening inside the picture. The poem could also be that or it could be outside. The short story is something that relates to the picture but isn't what is necessarily happening in the picture or if it is, it is in greater detail and in story format. Have fun! ;)
I would like the first exercise of penmanship to be that you write out a short story or scene for this picture. What comes to mind as you first look at it? This is a good practice to help you build imagination with something that is already been enforced.
Example of what to do: My heart thumped as I stood looking out over the town and beach spread out below me. Almost unconsciously, I grabbed my camera and snapped a picture of the beauty that surrounded me. This is basically a short story, since the goings on was behind the camera, not in front of it. Have fun! |
Hi!My name is Abigail Weh and I love books. I love reading them and I love writing them as well. My favorite single book is by far The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. I also have a passion for God and the use of writing as a way to glorify Him. Also, I have to say it. My absolute favorite movie right now is The Maze Runner. My favorite character in that movie is definitely Newt. Archives
