Here is another post, mostly for "Justin's" benefit to go with the already written story below. Justin, this is a good picture, I thought, for the whole "dying world" theme. ;) Any others are welcome to look back at my first post and write there or write on this one with the whole short story, poem, or scene thing. Remember, a scene is describing what you think is happening inside the picture. The poem could also be that or it could be outside. The short story is something that relates to the picture but isn't what is necessarily happening in the picture or if it is, it is in greater detail and in story format. Have fun! ;)

You'll have to help me out: any ideas about where the story should go from there?

Ok, so I think it would be awesome if you went on to describe your character's journey on his way to the foundation of his old house... His journey would end up going through the area in the pic. Have him run into some animals (if there are any left) or maybe have a crazy plot twist where he discovers that the the world isn't dying on accident but someone is behind it... its really up to you. I hope this helps to inspire something wild... ;) Also, I wanted to say I am sorry for not really replying much lately, I have been really busy! :)

Ooh that is a really cool plot twist! It causes many good questions and hooks to come up. That is sooo important to a good book... keep up the good work! :)

Hmmm... Well, let me ask a few questions. Maybe this can produce some fresh ideas: What is so special about this rose bush? Where is the mom? What exactly happened to the dad? Where does this portal go and what is the history behind it? Where is the home with the cracked foundation? Did their son find this note somewhere or is it for the reader's eyes only? :)

That's good stuff! It'll come in handy. But I meant what's the next picture :D Those are the springboards for this series. It can be something random. I can jump off anything.

Hi!My name is Abigail Weh and I love books. I love reading them and I love writing them as well. My favorite single book is by far The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. I also have a passion for God and the use of writing as a way to glorify Him. Also, I have to say it. My absolute favorite movie right now is The Maze Runner. My favorite character in that movie is definitely Newt. Archives
